Fo Guang Chinese School was founded in 1995 to achieve Venerable Master Hsing Yun‘s concept of fostering talent through education. For over twenty years, our teachers have worked tirelessly to promote Chinese culture and to nurture the oral, written, comprehension and expression skills of our students.

Fo Guang Shan Melbourne provides religious, educational, community, charitable and cultural services to Victorians, Buddhist and non-Buddhist alike. Fo Guang Shan Melbourne runs regularly meditation classes, weekly Dharma Service and Buddhist Dharma functions throughout the year.
Venerable Man Ko is the head of Fo Guang Shan Melbourne and is also the Head Abbess of Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temples across Australia and New Zealand. She is based in Nan Tien Temple in Wollongong, New South Wales.
